THE KING AND QUEEN PLANS FOR CANADIAN TOUR Tfiiom ouir own coreespoxdext] LONDOX, Jan. 30 Information which has just reached me from the Canadian Broadcasting Commission confirms my recent;; exclusive statement that the Queen srill broadcast during the Royal, tow of Canada, says the radio correspondent of the Evening Standard. There will also be six separate broadcasts by the King, each from a different city. The first will be from Quebec, soon after reaching Canada, the second from Ottawa, the third from Winnipeg, where the Royal party will spend Empire Day. Vancouver on the Pacific and Halifax on the Atlantic coasts will be the scenes of two more of the Royal broadcasts, and the King i will make his sixth radio speech when he is in Victoria, on Vancouver Island. Each of the six broadcasts will be relayed throughout Britain by the British Broadcasting Corporation, and trie speech on Empire Day, at Winnipeg, will be radiated by the Empire broadcasting station for world reception. I understand that the British Broadcasting Corporation will send eight official announcers and engineers <l® "cover" the tour. Mr. Jolv Lotbmiere, Director of Outside Broadcasts, will be in charge and will act as eyewitness radio commentator to most or the Royal functions.
