They broke into the farm-house; beating and trussing Cottick. His wife resisted and was fatally beaten. Arrested only as suspects, the trio supplied damaging evidence unknowingly by discussing the crime and making an agreement to tell the same story in Court, all the conversation being recorded through a radio sot hidden in the cells.
