Anyone interested is invited to communicate by letter or personally with the Secretary, Public Service Commissioner, G.P.O. Building, Wellington. Arrangements will be made to interview personally any applicant. Applicants should be 20 years of age and upwards, but in special cases the age will be reduced to IS. The commencing salary is £lO5 por annum with free board and lodging, laundry and uniform, with an increase to £lls after one year's service and to £125 after two years' service. Under present conditions promotion to higher positions with considerably higher salaries on passing the required Mental Hospitals Nursing Examination is rapid. Accommodation is provided in well-appointed Homes, each nurse having a single room. There is ample provision for recreation, such as tennis, badminton and hockey. One month's holiday is given at the end of every five months' service—every third day is off duty.
