Mrs. Aylward was found dead.in a summer-house at their home on DeComber 21. She had been missing for two days when her husband made the discovery. The coroner, Mr. J. H. Soady, asked Dr. Aylward questions about his relationship with his wife, and Dr. Aylward replied, "Life with my wife had become very difficult in recent years, and this hail been getting progressively worse. My wife endeavoured to dominate everyone and insisted that she was right in every way." Charming to Others "She was not content to go her own way," the doctor added, "but arranged everything for everyone else. She seemed to be quite unable to appreciate that anyone else had the right to do anything beside herself." Dr. Aylward said that his wife was quite charming to people outside the family or when anyone was staying with them. His wife appeared to be troubled in her mind over the children and seemed to treat his two daughters as if they were about five years old, allowing them to do nothing on their own initiative.
