EXAMINATION RESULTS SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES - [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] THAMES, Friday The director of the Thames School of Mines, Mr. H. Crawford, received to-day from the Mines Department the results of the university scholarships, and Schools of Mines examinations. They are as follows: Theoretical chemistry, senior: O. H. Marshall, 41 per cent; theoretical chemistry, junior, W. C. Danby, 76; K. M. Galloway, 6G; elementary mechanics, O. H. Marshall, 78; ventilation, 0. H. Marshall, 71; winding, haulage and pumping, O. H. Marshall, 82; machine drawing, H. E. Cameron. 63, G. Corbett, 73, D. Edwards, 49, W. Gilmer, 55, B. K. Judd, 63, N. J. Kinghan, 47, H. G. Lang, 93, D. McDonnell, SI, R. McKechnie, 47, O. H. Marshall, 90, J. E. Phillips, 78, G. A. Reddish, 50, A. Whitehead, 92. General and Mining Geology.-jrO. H. Marshall, 62; land and mine surveying, O. H. Marshall was successful in obtaining a Government School of Mines university scholarship of £SO a year for four years at the Otago University School of Mines.
