OPOTIK? FLOWER SHOW FINE DISPLAY OF DAHLIAS [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI. Thursday The Opotiki and District Horticultural Society's summer flower show was a great success. There was a large attendance and competition was keen in most classes. There were many fine specimens of dahlias exhibited, and record entries were received iii tho pom pom dahlia section, Tho champion dahlia was exhibited by Mrs. Beattie, of Woodlands. The show was opened by the president, Mr. J. D. Clark. The following are the results in the various classes: — Dahlias.—Champion bldom: Mrs. Beattie, 1.
