NEW BATTLESHIP
LAUNCHING CEREMONY SPEECH BY HERR HITLER TRIBUTE TO BISMARK HAMBURG, Feb. 14 In n speech at the launching of the new 35,000-ton battleship Bismarck, at •which 50,000 people were present, Herr Hitler said the naval treaty with Britain enabled Germany to build a fleet commensurate with her Army. "Now we are face to face with the first giant of the new squadron of 35,000-tonnerß," he added. The Fuehrer paid a tribute to Bismarck as the foremost builder of the Reich, and said he was three times compelled to resort to the sword to solve problems which could not bo solved by a majority decision. Bismarck had laid the true foundation of the National Socialistic State to face the opposition of Socialists, Democrats, the Catholic Church, the egotism of petty dynasties and small rulers, and the intrigues of ambitious women. Herr Hitler added that Bismarck's achievements were ill-rewarded, but Providence since his time had been more just.
