There are vacancies in the Mental Hospitals Department for Female Nurses at the Institutions at Auckland, Porirua (near Wellington) and elsewhere. Anyone interested is invited to communicate by letter or personally with the Secretary, Public Service Commissioner, G.P.O. Building, Wellington. Arrangements will be made to interview personally any applicant. Applicants should be 20 years of. age and upwards, but in special cases the age will be reduced to 18. The commencing salary is £lO5 per annum with free board and lodging, laundry and uniform, with an increase to £lls after one year's service and to £125 after two years service. Under present conditions promotion to higher positions with considerably higher salaries on passing the required Mental Hospitals Nursing Examination is rapid. . Accommodation is provided m well-appointed Nuises' Homes, each nurse having a single room.
