fjTHE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE MORE" ACTIVE" DEALING Active dealing marked operations on *the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday. Business was fairly well spread •throughout the various sections, and price movements were only of a minor mature. A feature of dealing -was the heavy •turnover in gilt : edgcd securities. Most . 0 f the Government inscribed stocks •changed hands at firmer levels, while local body debentures wore active. A strong advance in New Zealnnds marked the banking group, where steady levels otherwise ruled. Leading insurances were dealt in freely at late rates. New Zealand Breweries suffered a slight setback. Price movements of the miscellaneous industrials were small, M.K. Manufacturers and New Zealand Refrigerating. contributing, showed an easier trend, and although Consolidated Bricks sold unchanged, more were available. Values lor G. J. Coles were .lifted in dealing. .Holders of several other issues were inclined to make concussions.
