HOSTILITIES IN CHINA KULING ATTACK PLANNED TIME LIMIT TO EVACUATE (Received February 3, 5.5 p.m.) SHANGHAI, Feb. 2 The Japanese hare requested foreigners to evacuate Kuling before February 10, after which date their safety will not be guaranteed. A spokesman announces that the Japanese will not bo responsible for injuries or damage during the coming operations. He declines to give an assurance that foreigners will be allowed to return. It is claimed that 65 foreigners, of whom 37 are British, are still inside the Chinese lines.

MANCIIUKUO CLASH JAPANESE VERSION RUSSIAN TROOPS BLAMED TOKIO, Feb. Q The Japanese version of the clash with Russians on the Manchukuo frontier yesterday alleges that 100 Russian troops crossed the frontier and attacked the troops at a Japanese station, who resisted. The Russians retired after the loss of five killed and three wounded. The Japanese suffered no casualties. The Japanese Government has strongly protested to Russia. SHOTS AT AEROPLANE JAPANESE EXPLANATION TOKIO, Feb. 2 A Japanese Admiralty spokesman admitted that the naval force at AVaichow Island fired upon "a mystery aeroplane of unknown nationality" in selfdefence. This refers to the shots fired at tho Imperial Airways machine Delia when flying to Hanio from Hongkong.
