Palchy is a little pup I've had for just a year. He drinks his milk out of my cap. He's such a little dear. One day I gave my pup an egg, 'Twas just a broken one. He loaed ii; for-another begged. But, oh, what had I done? The eggs were missing from the run, A broken egg-shell found. ~ A fear crept over me; damped rnu fm, A tiny foot-print on the ground I f> I filled a shell with mustard hoi, I cowed to kill or cure, Found him next day in the maslarJ-ptl Looking so sweet and demure! /; •-•j-;.
