Charles 1. Ringlets On Modern Heads
r rHl'T Hiicl-s'oason trend is interesting in that it shows an even more feminine line, if that is possible, says our London correspondent. There are whispers that Charles I. ringlets will soon be seen covering the back of fashionable heads. And, as always, the London designers are first with the 11 ens. One designer, for instance, shows the new tilted hats that show these fascinating ringlets. A small suit hat has wide wings in front, sheering oft' the brow at an agle-. This is in a new linen straw. A collar of jet and a tiny high jet crown make a charming novelty to be'"worn with the crinoline dress. Another milliner, of Paris and London, launches his new aeroplane liatlinfi together with its accompanying coiffurp—a flat fringe, the hair parted down the back of the head and finished in curls. Winged hats he favours, with broad, spreading, sweeping brims that divide over the brow where the brim vanishes; tricorns with swathed veiling and flowers as trimming: a flat plate shape in black straw, open-crowned with flowers and veil, is worn well forward. His hats have strands of veiling falling from the centre only; he will use much chiffon drapery for swathed lame turbans, and his colours are gay and vivid with'dazzling greens, petunias and reds.
