STRAND THEATRE
Giving one of the best performances of her screen career, the popular young actress Jane Withers has the leading part in the 20th Century-Fox production "Miss Fix-It," which heads the attractive programme at the Strand Theatre to-day. She appears as .Jane 'Hand, nn orphan girl who is kept at a girls' school by her uncle, a film director in Hollywood. To further her ambition to make a name for herself in pictures, she pays a visit to the film city during her holidays and learns that her uncle has lost his position. She now devotes nil her efforts toward having him reinstated and winning a place for herself in films. At the same time, she helps to further a romance between her uncle and nn attractive girl she has met. Among the supporting players are Henry Wilcoxon, Gloria Stuart, Heleu Westle.y and Jed Prouty.
