SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
[from our owx correspondent] "VVHAXGAREI, Monday Tho McLachlan Scholarship at the Whangarei Girls' High School has been awarded this year to Wendy Hosking, of the Dargaville District High School. This scholarship has been made available under the will of the late Mrs. McLachlan, of Waikeikei, who died in IJK46. It entitles the successful pupii to £'7o a year for at least three years for study at the Whangarei Girls' High School, it being a condition that the winner must reside at the girls' hostel, Lupton House, connected with the school.
