GERMAN BRIBES

CORRUPT FRENCH PRESS £2,000,000 FOR PROPAGANDA LONDON, Dec. 15 Writing in the Right Wing, but antiMunich, Paris newspaper L'Epoque, M. Henri do Kerillis alleges that the French press campaign, which suddenly started last April and continued until October, attacking the former President of Czechoslovakia, Dr. Bcnes, and favouring surrender to Germany, cost the German propaganda funds £2,000, which is twice the amount spent by Italy on the French press during the Abyssinian crisis. M. de Kerillis says that his information—which is believed in London owing to the well-known corruption of the French press—was confirmed by tho American Ambassador in Paris. It- is significant that tho French Foreign Minister, M. Bonnet, is now placing obstacles in the way of tho Paris correspondents of the Times, tho Manchester Guardian and tho News Chronicle because they mildly criticised him.

Simultaneously, they liavo been attacked ,in tho Fascist paper Grinjjoire.
