SOCIAL EVENING
DIOCESAN ASSOCIATION A pleasant social evening was held b\ the Girls' Diocesan Association in the Fabian Club rooms 011 Wednesday evening. The president, Aliss Joan Robertson, received the guests, who were former members of the association, together with their children, and the mothers of present members. During the evening sketches were given by Airs. Harvey Brown and Aliss Colleen Mitchell and Aliss Francis Gibson gave elocutionary items. One of the members of the Girls' Diocesan Association, Aliss Esnie Burcher, had written a plav, '"Snow-white and the Seven Dwarfs," and this was acted by Aliss Esnie Burcher, Alisses Jacqueline and Betty Johnston, Aliss .Joyce Harrowell, Aliss Natalie Fastgate. Miss Peter Gorrie, Aliss Penelope Davidson, .Miss Noeleen Patterson, Aliss Colleen Alitclifll, Aliss Betty C'oe, Aliss Dulcie Boucher and Aliss Patricia Finch. The proceeds of the evening will be spent in sending strawberries and cream to the Papatoetoe Orphanage on Christmas Day.
