The • following telegram was sent to the Minister by .Mr. Ray:— "Your statement published in this morning's Hkrald states an inspection was made by you seven months ago and that authority was given to the Department of Agriculture for a proper survey. In fairness to the company and its shareholders we demand full information as to the day and the date of your personal visit as well as those of departmental officers. The company has no knowledge of either. We still await a reply to our telegram to you sent yesterday. Failing immediate receipt of the information requested we must in fairness to our shareholders publish the full facts throughout New Zealand."
