GIFT FROM COLLEAGUES EXPRESSION OF CONFIDENCE LOYALTY APPRECIATED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Thursday ; Tho work of the Cabinet for this year will virtually end to-morrow, by which time most of the Ministers will have left Wellington for a short vacation. One or two of them are postponing their departure until the weekend or early next week. The Prime Minister, Mr. Savage, will be remaining in Wellington, but be intends to take things easy over .the holiday period. • •• Members of the Cabinet in Wellington to-day met Mr. Savage and made him a presentation of a set of crystal from his Ministerial colleagues. Thev asked the Prime Minister's acceptance of this gift as a token of appreciation of his wonderful comradely qualities, coupled with their utmost confidence in liis judgment and leadership. The Ministers assured Mr. Savage that the burdens of office were made easier by reason of his pleasing personality and sound judgment and his determination to look after the interests of the people. It was, they said, a pleasure to them to serve under him. lit making the presentation the Minister of Education, the Hon. P. Frascr, said the gift symbolised the goodwill felt bv the Ministers toward Mr. Savage. On behalf of the Ministry he wished Mr. Savage a very merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year. ' •
