The scores were:— South . Australia.—6oo for eight wickets, declared. New South Wales.—First innings, 390 (Chipperfield 154; Grimmett seven for 316); second innings, 155 (.James 42; Grimmett four for 59, Ward four for 40). A message from Melbourne states that Victoria defeated Queensland by three wickets. The scores were: — Queensland. — First innings, 184; second innings, 510 for five wickets, declared (Allen 130, Cook 58, Baker 51 not out; McCormick three for 125). Victoria. —First innings, 376; second innings, 322 for seven wickets (lligg 49, Gregory 77, Hassett 73; Dixon four for 67).
