YOUNG MAN FOUND SHOT
DISCOVERY BY BROTHER BULLET WOUND IN CHEST Shortly after eight o'clock last night Mr. Boyre Clark McConachy, aged 20, labourer, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Clark McConachy, of 37 Milton Hoad, MountT.den, was found shot on his bed, with a pea-rifle beside him. Dr. J. Dreadon was summoned, but the young man was dead. Mr. McConachy, senior, is the well-known New Zealand billiards player. After tea last evening deceased, his brother and their father went on to the back lawn to practice archery, of which they were all fond. Between seven and eiuht o'clock the elder son went back to the house. Not long afterward his brother found him oil the bed with a bullet-wound below the heart, and apparently dead. The rifle beside him was one usually kept in a wardrobe in the corner of the room.
An inquest will be opened by Mr. F K. Hunt, coroner, this morning.
