REMOVAL OF HOUSES
START MADE AT HAMILTON GARDEN PLACE. HILL SCHEME [FROM OUR OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Wednesday Authority for removing the houses on Garden Place Hill having been given by tho Hamilton Borough Council, a section of one house was taken away at five o'clock this morning. Considerable difficulty was experienced in getting it through a cutting at the top of the hill, and tho bank had to be cut away. Tho structuro was taken to a site' at Whitiora. Th 6 removal of tho remaining six houses is expected to commence in three weeks. A start on removing the hill will be made at tho same time.
