VOTE OF CONFIDENCE

MR. MACKENZIE KING ONTARIO LIBERAL CAUCUS OTTAWA, Dec. 10 Eighty Ontario Liberals, including members of the House of Commons and tho Senate, and defeated candidates, unanimously adopted a vote of unbounded confidence in tho Prime Minister, Mr. W. L. Mackenzie King, at a secret caucus which considered the break with the Premier of Ontario, Mr. M. Hepburn. Two Senators and six Liberal members of Parliament were absent. The caucus decided to continue to inquire into the differences between Mr. Mackenzie King and Mr. Hepburn, mainly through tho latter's charge of masterly inactivity by the Prime Minister regarding tho refunding of the national debt, solution of unemployment, acquisition of new markets and alleged favouritism toward the Prairie farmers at the expense of Ontario. Tho situation is causing tho Government concern. If tho Ontario electorate follows Mr. Hepburn at the next election the Government is likely to suffer severely.
