CHARGES REMITTED
HOLD-UP ON WATERFRONT APPLICATION BY STEVEDORES An application from tho Port of Auckland Shipping and Stevedores' Association, for a rebate in berthing dues on the ships affected by tho holdup of waterfront work in November, was received by the Auckland Harbour Board yesterday. The board was also asked to grant a. remission of the storage charges on cargo received on' the wharves for shipment but unable to be loaded. A recommendation from a meeting of tho board in committee was adopted, stating that the charges levied against the companies for demurrage and penal demurrage on outward cargo helcj, up during the period should be remitted,.
