|THE AUCKLAND EXCHANGE AUSTRALIANS AGAIN RISE With tlio exception of a further rise in Australian industrials, the investment market on - the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday was practically ifaturelcss. Turnover was slightly larger. Banks were comparatively firm, with holders of some issues hard to locate. English, Scottish and Australians gained some ground. Insurances remained depressed. In the brewery section, Dominions .cased slightly on the previous ex dividend transfer. Tooths were taken nt an advance. Among the miscellaneous issues, New Zealand scrip was practically neglected. Australian shares, however, remained in strong demand, and further gains were recorded. The Exchange will closo at 1 p.m. to-morrow for the Christmas holidays, reopening, on January 10.
