HOLIDAY FIXTUKES PROVINCIAL TOURNAMENT APPOINTMENT OF UMPIRES The following umpires have been appointed to control matches in the Auckland provincial cricket tournament to bo held at Eden Park:— December 20, Messrs. Ball, Mc.Leod, Salisbury, Mearns; December 27, Messrs. Ball, Cullen, Hart, McLeod, Mearns, Salisbury; December 28, Messrs. Blennerhassett, Harris, Mitchell, Slancy; December 20, Messrs. Ball, Blennerhassett, Hart, Salisbury; December 30, Messrs. Ball, Blennerhassett, Harris, Salisbury; December 31 and Junuary 2, umpires to bo appointed by the munagers. Umpires are urgently required for the Country "Week tourney. Members of elthri tho Auckland or Suburban Umpires' Association willing to officiate are requested to report to tho tournament manager oil the Domain at 0.15 o'clock daily. Luncheon and afternoon tea will bo provided for umpires officiating in both tournaments. MARYLEBONE TOUR TRANSVAAL GAME DRAWN SOUTH AFRICAN TEST SIDE (Received December 20, 5.5 p.m.) JOHANNESBURG, Dec. 10 In reply to Transvaal's first innings score of 428 for eight wicket, declared, tho Marylebono touring cricket team mndo 208 (Ames 100, Wright 28; Davies six for 82). Transvaal in its second innings scored 174 for two wickets (Curnow 60, Mitchell 38, Melvillo 40 not out, Briscoo 38 not out). Rain delayed play and the match was drawn. Hilt ton, who was struck on the head and suffered concussion during Saturday's play, has left hospital. WIN FOR TE KAUWHATA A cricket match played between teams representing Hcllaby's, Limited, Auckland, and Te Kauwhata resulted in a win for tho latter by 70 runs.
