GIRL GUIDES' PARTY
ST. DAVID'S COMPANY PRESENTATIONS MADE An end-of-the-year party was held by St. David's Girl Guides and Brownies recently. Reference was made at the function to the loss the company was sustaining through the resignations of the Guide Captain, Miss Aitkin, the Brown Owl, Miss Atkins, and Lioutennnt Leaning. Miss Leaning, it was stated, however, was-leaving to work in another capacity lor the movement. Appreciation of their work was expressed by the Divisional Commissioner, Mrs. McCosh Clark, and the president, Airs. Haydon, Sister Gladys also spoke 011 behalf of St. David's Church workers. The committee presented the Captain and Brown Owl with a bedroom clock each, the company auu pack also presenting them with a crystal trinket box and other gifts. Lieutenant Leaning received a crystal vase from the committee and a handsome ornament from the Guides. Incoming oflicers were welcomed, after which supper was served.
