hospital board remit WITHDRAWN AFTER DISCUSSION [BY TELEGRAPH —PBKBB ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN, Thursday A proposal made by Mrs. W. Boss at to-night's meeting of the Otago Hospital Board that the board should forward a remit to the Hospital Boards' Association conference authorising State lotteries, the proceeds to be allocated to hospitals throughout New Zealand, met with a mixed reception and was withdrawn. The chairman, Mr. Dove, said he did not think the remit should go forward. It was a matter that hardly lay within th ©-province of hospital boards.
