KING'S BIRTHDAY
HERR HITLER'S MESSAGE AUCKLAND OBSERVANCE BERLIN, Dec. 14 Herr Hitler to-day telegraphed birthday congratulations to King George. The 43rd birthday of King George was officially observed in Auckland yesterday. Flags were flown from city buildings, and warships at the Devonport Naval Base were dressed for the occasion. A Royal Salute of 21 guns was fired by the shore battery at the base at mid-day.
