DOMINION INDUSTRY government negotiations EARLY DECISION LIKELY [by telegraph—own correspondent] WELLINGTON, Wednesday Negotiations for the establishment of the tvre industry in New Zealand are now taking place between certain overseas companies and the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hon. I). G. Sullivan, and the Minister of Customs, the Hon. W. Nash, according to a statement by the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage, in the S -\ndard this week. The Prime Minister said it was likely that an early decision would be made. This industry, he added, would probably be the first of the new major manufactures planned as part of the Government's scheme for increased industrial development.
