PINNED UNDER CAR

DRIVER'S LUCKY ESCAPE COLLISION IN THE CITY Minor injuries were suffered by Mr. Herbert Junker, aged 22, of 13 Ruatnra Road, Orakei, when the light twoseater touring motor-car in which he was travelling was involved in a collision with another car at the intersection of Victoria Street West, Franklin Road and Union Street shortly after S o'clock last night. After the colision the touring ear overturned, throwing Mr. Junker out, and came to rest on its hood against a power pole, pinning thj> young man underneath. The car was lifted off Mr. Junker, who had injured his loft hip and lie was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. He was treated in the casualty department and permitted to go home. No one in the other car was hurt and n young man who was accompanying Mr. Junker escaped injury. Both vehicles were considerably damaged.
