CREDITMEN'S INSTITUTE

ANNUAL MEETING HELD Apologies for the absence of many members, owing to the added work resulting from tho import regulations, were made by the president, Mr. H. W. Dent, at the annual meeting and dinner last evening of the New Zealand Institute of Crcditmen, hold in tho Overseas League rooms. The statement of accounts showed an excess of income over expenditure of £65. bringing the accumulated fund to £205. In his address the president stressed tho growing importance of tho credit manager in modern business. He described tho institute's efforts to raise his status and to maintain a high standard of membership. He emphasised the responsibility resting on those reporting to a credit agency to supply full, accurate and up-to-date information. The value of tho institute's work would increase as it grew and as it was supported bv men of standing. The following officers were re-elected: —President. Mr. H. \V. Dent; vicepresident, Mr. F. G. Baskctt; three members of council. Mr. <)• k. Beaehen, Mr. P. Hall and Mr. G. E. Waddingham; auditor, Mr. J. E. Connor.
