NEW AUCKLAND CHAIRMAN MR. P. C. SAVAGE ELECTED The election of Mr. P. C. Savage as chairman of the Auckland Stock Exchange for the ensuing year was announced at the annual meeting of members yesterday. On assuming office, Mr. Savage paid a tribute to the work of the retiring chairman, Mr. G. R. Buttle, describing him as a tower of strength to the Exchange. During the year he had carried out his duties at a great personal sacrifice, and it was unfortunate that he could not be persuaded to continue as chairman.
