SUPPLY OF ARMS

AN ADVISORY PANEL PERSONNEL ANNOUNCED (Received December 12, 5.5 p.m.) British Wireless LONDON, Dec. 12 The personnel was announced in the House of Commons to-day of the industrial advisory panel to receive representations as to delay, defects or difficulties in the supply or production under the rearmament programme, and to suggest remedial action and also general improvements in regard to the programme. Prominent industrialists include Sir George Beharrell, former president of the Federation of British Industries.

Other industrialists on the panel are Mr. Peter Bennett, deputy-president of the Federation of British Industries, Sir Geoffrey Clarke, .vice-chairman of tho London Chamber > of Commerce, Messrs. J. 0. M. Clark, a thread manufacturer, and Francis Cooper, chairman of Lever Brothers, also Mr. J. S. Addison, a director of Courtaulds. The panel will be independent of spy Ministers, and labour questions will be outside its purview.
