ROTORUA MEETING TRIBUTE TO SECRETARY Bowls of. gladioli nnd delphiniums decorated the Blue Bath Tearooms on Friday evening for the final meeting this year of the Botorua Travel Club. Mrs. J. Banks introduced the speaker, Miss Gwenni'th La Trobo Hill,' who described a visit she had paid to Holland in tulip time, also a visit to Holloway Prison in London. Miss Hill also commented on her stay in that city during the crisis. The secretary of the club, Miss H. Donald, was presented by Mrs. Banks with a crystal vase in appreciation of the work she had done for the club. Two humorous monologues were given by Mrs. B. Gordon Edwards. Among the visitors-present were Mrs. Thorpe (Tokoroa), Mis. E. Verran (Auckland), Mrs. Blair (Mount Maunganui), Mr. and Mrs. Dawson Donaldson, and Mr. Donaldson, junior.
