The for fat sheep was fair and the whole entry changed hands at satisfactory prices. Hoggets sold at rates slightly in advance of the prices ruling last week, while a full yarding of laifibs sold under keen competition. Prices eased slightly in the classes for calves, but competition for an average entry of ox beef was again keen and prices remained firm. The inquiry for cow and, heifer beef was steady and prices differed little from those of last week. Store cattle sold at late rates. Boner cows met with a keen inquiry; at the commencement of the sale, but this eased toward the end and prices showed a considerable decline. Dairy cattle were keenly sought after and a total clearance was effected at every satisfactory prices.
