VALUES AT FRANKTON LARGE YARDINGS OFFERED LAMBS KEENLY SOUGHT [pltOJl OUR OTVS cobrespondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday Extra heavy entries of all classes 'of stock came forward at the weekly stock sale held at Frankton ■ to-day. The for fat sheep was fair and the whole entry changed hands at satisfactory prices. Hoggets sold at rates slightly in advance of the prices ruling last week, while a full yarding of laifibs sold under keen competition. Prices eased slightly in the classes for calves, but competition for an average entry of ox beef was again keen and prices remained firm. The inquiry for cow and, heifer beef was steady and prices differed little from those of last week. Store cattle sold at late rates. Boner cows met with a keen inquiry; at the commencement of the sale, but this eased toward the end and prices showed a considerable decline. Dairy cattle were keenly sought after and a total clearance was effected at every satisfactory prices. Values for fat pigs improved on thoso for last week's offering, while store pigs also met a good inquiry, prices advancing. The auctioneers quote:—

HIDES AND SKINS LOWER VALUES RULING Competition was not very keen at the fortnightly sale of hides and skins held by Auckland brokers yesterday. Hides were a shade easier, while skins were cheaper by about \'id to %d per lb. Calfskins, however, showed a rise.
