MANILA TYPHOON
ENORMOUS DAMAGE HEAVY TOLL OF LIVES (Received December 11, 5.5 p.m.) ) MANILA, Dec. 10 The typhoon which ravaged th 9 south-west of the Philippines, caused damago estimated at 750,000 dollars. It is feared that the freighter Admiral Halstead, with a crew of 35, was trapped at Sorsagon Bay and foundered. Reports trickling in over the hastily repaired communication lines indicate that the dead total at least 57.
