ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
UNITY CUP COMPETITION The second annual first-aid competition for the 'Unity Cup was held on Saturday afternoon at the Westmere School. Six St. John ambulance teams competed, Corps Officer H. W. Thompson, of the "Auckland Division, being in charge, and Corps Officer W. 11. Dawson acting as judge. Teams were required to treat an accident to the upper left leg and severe bleeding from the temple. were as follows:—Grey Lynn Y.M.C.A.'s B team, 50 points, and Onehunga M.M., 50 points, equal, 1; Auckland Grammar School N., 49£. 3; Waiheke E., 46, 4; St. Aidan's Boy Scouts, 40, 5; Epsom Q.Q., 38, 6. The cup was presented by Corps Officer Dawson to the captains of the two equal teams, each of which will hold the trophy for six months. The judge remarked that the contest between the first three teams was a par-ticularly-even one, the standard of work being exceedingly high.
