OBITUARY
MR. W. H. T. OWENS [by telegraph- —own correspondent] WAIHI, Saturday The death has occurred of Mr. "William Henry Thomas Owens, of Wai.kino, aged 66. He was born at Thames and was one of those longest cmpWed at the Martha Gold Mining (Wailu) Company's Victoria battery at Waikino. Mr. Owens was local secretary of the Ohinemuri Mines and Battorics Union ut Waikino from 1912, tiring two or throe years ago. He is survived by his wife and daughter.
MR, w. a. MOON [FROM OUR OWN COKUKSI'OXDKNTI TE AWAMUTU, Sunday The death lias occurred of Mr. Walter Goorge Moon, of Pirongia, aged 68. Mr. Moon was horn at Raglan, where lie began business as a storekeeper. Ho removed in 1901 to Pirongia, where lie again engaged in storokeoping. He was clork to the Pirongia Domain Board. Mr, Moon is survived by life wile, two sons and three daughters. MRS. ELIZA EDGE £from our, own correspondent] ■WHANGAREI, Saturday The death has occurred of Mrs. Eliza Jane Edge, at the ago of 76 years. Born at Matakohe, where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morgan, were early settlors, she moved with her parents to Otaika, whore she met and married the late Mr. Joseph Edge, a member of a pioneering Whangarei family. Mr. Edge was killed in a bush-falling acoident 40 years ago. Mrs. Edge acquired a farm at Hornhora yalley, where she brought up her faintly. Later a small property was bought at Kamo, and two months' ago Mrs. Edge disposed of this and settled in v Te Aroha. Tho interment took place at the Whangarei Cemetery., MRS. W. O. TARR IrROIX OUR OWN 90RRK8P0NDENT] HAMILTON, Saturday The death has occurred in Hamilton of Mrs,. Mortha Frances Tarr, wife of Mr. W. G-. Tarr, of Kaipaki, at the age of 67, Born in Australia, Mrs. Tarr came to New Zealand with her parents! at an early age. The family settled in Wellington, where she met and married Mr. Tarr. They later moved to Kaipaki, where they had since lived. Mrs. Tarr is survived by her husband, eight children and 18 grandchildren.
