ENJOYABLE OUTING
CRIPPLED CHILDREN PARTY More than 60 crippled children were entertained by the Auckland Dickens Fellowship on Saturday afternoon, the occasion being the fellowship s annual Tiny Tim drive for tho benefit of the. children. Nineteen cars were used, members of the Auckland Rotary Club lending supjwrt with transport. The children were collected from their various homes by the cars early in the afternoon. With a conspicuous Santa Claus attached to his car, Mr. G. Morton Smith was marshal of the procession, which proceeded along the waterfront road to St. Heliers Bay, whoro the party made. a stop for ice cream. ~ , . _ The children were then taken for a drivo around Glendowie heights, through Remuera, and over Mount Eden, finishing at the Cornwall Park tea kiosk. Here a welcome was extended to the party by Mr. G. Cruickshank, president of the Auckland Dickens Fellowship, after which a most enjoyable afternoon was spent in various ' forms of entertainment on the lawn in front of the kiosk. The children wero then driven back to their homes.
