RETURNED SOLDIERS
CAR DRIVE TO MANGERE EVELYN FIRTH HOME MEN Returned soldiers at ths Evelyn Firth Home were given an enjoyable outing yesterday afternoon, when members of tlie Victoria League Young Contingent bridge circle took a party of tliem in private cars to the aerodrome at Mangere. Perfect weather added to the enjoyment of the outing, which was arranged by Mrs. G. Erne Adams. On arrival at the aerodramo, Squad-ron-Leader 1). M. Allan gave an exhibition of stunt flying, which was watched with keen interest by the men, while later they were taken through the hangars to see the various machines. A picnic afternoon tea was held prior to the return drive to the city. '
Among those present were:—Mrs. L. S. Kickerby, Mrs. G. Erne Adams. Mrs. A. Donald, Mrs. W. Teape, Mrs. AY. H. D'Audney, Mrs. S. Parkinson, Mrs. L. Gould, Mrs.' P. Bruce, Miss Nancy Thompson, Miss W. Tippotts, Miss Jessica Baxter, Miss llnby Hardley, and the ladv superintendent of the Evelyn Firth Home, Miss B. Brayshaw. Although unable to bo present, the president of the Victoria League, Mrs. J. B. Mncfarlano, lent her motor-car lor the occasion. .
