CENTENNIAL MEMORIALS
MAORI MEETING HOUSES ARAWA TRIBE'S PLANS [By THJLEGRAFH —OWN correspondent] ROTORUA, Wednesday With the object of providing permanent memorials of tho centennial of tho Dominion 16 new meeting houses are contemplated by tho Arawa tribe, two of which include tho rebuilding of the historic Tamatekapua at Ohinemutu and Waliiao at Whakarewarewa. Application for financial assistance toward these two projects have already been made to the New Zealand Cleutennial Council, while the assistance of tho Government with the labour costs of the other 14 buildingß is also being sought.
