OVERSEAS LEAGUE
SOCIAL COMMITTEE FAREWELL TO MEMBERS ■ Members and friends of the social committee of the Overseas League met yesterday morning to farewell two intending travellers, Mrs. H. S. Woollams, who will leave shortly for a tour of the West Indies, and Mrs. Spencer, who intends visiting the United States of America. Miss Anita Webster, who presided, presented shoulder sprays to the giicsts of honour, and welcomed back Mrs. A. O'Neill, who recently returned from an extended tour abroad. Mrs. Browne Morris gave a bracket of songs, alter which tea was served. Miss -E..A;. File and Miss Sutton acting as hostesses. Tho guests included: —Mrs. J. H. Wathew, Mrs. H. C. Smart, Mrs. Arthur Holdsworth, Mrs. W. R. Golden, Mrs. E. L. Burton, Mrs. Spencer, Mrs. John Rigg. Mrs. J. H. Butland, Mrs. W. M. Neumegcn, Mrs. J. T. Gill, Mrs. A. C. McDowell, Mrs. H. Pegfer, Mrs, B. H. Moody, Mrs. P. Macdonald, Mrs. L. T. Tollemacho, Mrs. 31. Locke, Miss Davison, Miss A. Walker, Miss A. McDonald, Miss N. Montgomery, Miss M. Hill. Also present were two members from abroad, Mrs. David Stevenson, M-B.E. (Londonderry), and Mrs. McKay Cubby, of Carlisle, Scotland.
