USE OF "HEAVY WATER" EXPERIMENTS AT SWANSEA (Received December 5. 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Dec. 5 According to the Daily Herald, Dr. G. A. Stephens and Mr. M. W. Williams, of Swansea, using subcutaneous injections of "heavy water" enabled a patient suffering from 'inoperable cancer of the tongue to eat and speak, which had been impossible for the last month. American scientists discovered "heavy water" in 19.33 in ordinary water in proportions of one to 6000. It can be produced by passing electricity through water and is obtainable in Norway owing to the extent of the electric plants and waterfalls there.
