FOUR CARNEGIE GRANTS NEW ZEALANDERS CHOSEN [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION]. WELLINGTON. Tuesday The New Zealand Council for Educational Research hns received advice from the Carnegie Corporation of New York that four grants have been made to enable New Zcalanders to visit overseas countries to study developments in their special fields. The recipients of the grants are:— Mr. L. B. Bestall, director of the Hawke's Bay Museum, Napierj Mr. D. Jeune, engineer-clerk to the Mackenzie County Council, Fairlie; Mr. L. \V. McCaskill; lecturer in agriculture at the Christchurch Teachers' Training Cull ope; and Mr. E. Partridge! inspector of schools, Wellington.
