AFFIDAVITS OF SERVICE "I notice the affidavit of service ia made by j-ourself. That is a practice which the Court has said should not be followed," said Mr. Justice Faiir to counsel during the hearing of a divorce •. petition in the Supreme Court. His Honor said the profession should understand by now that proceedings should be served by someone outside the solicitor's office if possible, or, if not, then by a clerk who couid be cross-examined on his affidavit if necessary. If it was found impracticable in any case to follow this ruMf there should be an explanation on affidavit. When another barrister )}OS, later checked for having made jw OK, affidavit of service, he said ho hac * j. , ~, heard of this rule before. ■
