Nov. 2G Jews in Germany have been informed that they must pay in cash the first 25 per cent of the £80,000,000 fine imposed on them by December 15. Aryan experts are fixing the prices which a special department of the Chamber of Commerce will pay for jewellery and works of art. The Ministry of Economics is having an office opened, where Jews enn sell such articles.

It is expected that many Jews must sell their possessions in order to defray the instalments on tho indemnity.

Jews must defray the cost of liquidating their businesses, tho creditors of which must be paid before tho stocks are offered to retail organisations.

The police in the principal cities in Germany are arranging conducted tours of burnt synagogues for the benefit of the Winter Help Fund. Visitors are occasionally permitted to don rabbinical robes and there are burlesque religious observances.

CHILD REFUGEES SANCTUARY IN ENGLAND CAMPS ON EAST COAST FRENCH HELP EXPECTED LONDON, Nov. 25 Six hundred Jewish and non-Aryan Christian children from Germany probably will go to England shortly. Area committees will be constituted wherever people will take children into their homes or provide for their care. The children will be returned to their parents immediately the latter have left Germany and can support them. An appeal is being made to President Roosevelt, says a Paris message, to induce South American Republfes to help to solve the refugee problem. The Foreign Minister, M. Bonnet, it is understood, has offered to receive 10,000 refugees if Britain and America will do likewise.

Kennedy, speaking at the Thanksgiving Day dinner in London, said it was probably due to the ideal democracy embodied in their constitution that, in spite of the fact that the American nation consisted of many races, they had little trouble due to unabsorbed foreign minorities.
