WHEEL COLLAPSES
ACCIDENT TO BOMBER PILOT NOT INJURED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] BLENHEIM, Saturday When ono of tho Blackburn Baffin bombers belonging to the Wellington (Territorial) Air Force Squadron, which is encamped at the Blenheim aerodrome, was taxi-ing slowly out 011 to tho flying field yesterday morning preparatory to taking off for machine gun practice at Lako Grassmero one of the landing wheels collapsed and the machine tipped forward, smashing the propeller and one of tho lower wings. Pilot-Officer Smith was not injured. An examination disclosed faults in tho metal disc wheel. Repairs will bo effected at Blenheim after spare parts have bepn received from the Hobsonrille base.
