ELECTION OF OFFICERS A satisfactory financial report was presented hy the treasurer at the annual meeting of the Howick Public Library, whilo an increase in subscribers was also disclosed. Hegret was expressed ft't the resignation of Mr. G. A. Newton, who lor the past 18 years has acted as honorary secretary and treasurer. Ho was elected a life-member in recognition of his long service, while tea Itev. 1. Scott and Mrs. N. D. iJ'oyes were elected to similar positions. T . Ulhcers were elected as follows: I'resident.
