MATCHES AT TE AROHA [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] TE AROHA, Sunday In gloriyus weather and before a large crowd of spectators Ihe Waihou Polo Club held its opening yesterday, when visiting teams from Morrinsville and Paeroa took part in a scries of friendly games over five chukkas. The standard of play, especially iu the A game, in which Morrinsville defeated Te Arolia by 5 goals to 2. was of a particularly fine standard, revealing surprisingly good form on the pari of both players and panics. By dint of superior combination Morrinsville had a distinct advantage over the local players, who played good individual games. The newly-formed Paeroa club was beaten by Waihou B by 0 goals to 1, this being Paeroa's. first actual game. The team showed good playing talent which will improve with experience.
