RAILWAYMAN RETIRES
MANY YEARS' SERVICE [>ROM OUR* OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON. Sunday After 38 years' service with the Railway Department, Mr. Frederick Pickup, who has been officer in charge of the Claudelands railway station for tho last 22 years, will retire on superannuation on Wednesday. Mr. Pickup joined the railway service as a platelayer, and after 13 years was transferred to the traffic branch. ~
